As the layout editor for Augsburg’s weekly newspaper The Echo, I was tasked with laying out the full publication once every week. This allowed me to grow my InDesign and typography skills. On top of the routine layout every week, I also took on the task of rebranding this publication. I took a college paper that was visually modeled to look like The New York Times and turned it into the quirky, approachable, and relatable newspaper that is widely read in print and online.
Along with being the layout editor for The Echo, I was also the web editor. I was tasked with designing a Wordpress site for The Echo and then maintaining that site by posting articles every week. This allowed me to further develop my web design, layout and typography skills.
