COLOR THEORY & LAYOUT & PUBLICATION DESIGN

For this year’s Murphy Square Literary and Visual Art Magazine, I was given the explicit direction to use the concept of morning, noon, and night to organize the book. From this, I developed a color palette to represent each time of day. After that, I was able to create the visual language and branding for the book. As an alumnus of Augsburg, this was my last opportunity to layout MSQ so I decided to push the limits that the layout of this book usually adheres to.
