The University of Minnesota’s Tretter Collection is a literary and art collection focusing on gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender studies. This collection just recently got a new curator, Rachel Mattson, and she reached out to me to help her redesign and layout their biannual publication: Tretter Letter. The Tretter Letter has historically been made by non-designer and hence the final product was mostly a vehicle for the content and not something that drew readers in and emphasized the content. Our collaboration lead to a publication that is easily customizable to fit the ever-changing content and that reflects the Tretter Collection as a whole.
