As a graphic design major at Augsburg University, we have to pull together a senior exhibition within our last year on campus. For my show, I wanted to utilize my marketing and layout design skills. With that in mind, I created a survey that asked several questions with the goal of getting a representative story of a student on campus’ life. I sent this survey to 2,000 students, gathered 200 responses, and narrowed that down to 80 stories. Those 80 stories were then laid out in 8.5in X 5.5in saddle-stitched booklets. Once all 80 books were made, I decided to categorize them into 20 colors. Each color is associated with an attribute that the author of the story needs from the reader. This gives a call-to-action for the viewer of my show while giving some organization to this wall of books.
